GIÁP ZONE is a graduation project from the University of Industrial Fine Arts, representing a fusion of applied design thinking and contemporary illustrative language. Drawing inspiration from the familiar imagery of the 12 Vietnamese zodiac animals, the project reimagines vivid stories of everyday life through the lens of urban hip-hop culture—at once free-spirited, spontaneous, and distinctly characterful. Going beyond the conventional form of a standard calendar, GIÁP ZONE fully leverages the power of illustration with a rich array of details, infused with satirical and witty nuances. It is both a reflection of a personal creative journey and a unique experiment bringing the gritty spirit of the streets closer to modern living spaces.
